High-quality loud sound both from external speakers and when using a headset.4. Wi-Fi ac, NFC, Bluetooth 4.1,...5. Great fingerprint sensor! It works 95 percent very quickly. This is not a physical button, which is more convenient. You can wake up and unlock the device with one touch.6. HTC gestures also allow you to conveniently wake your phone from sleep.7. The main camera is excellent (I have a modification of the Supreme Camera Edition) 21mpx with laser focusing (instead of the duo camera) and optical stabilization. 8. 1) The design, of course, is not for everyone, but I would consider it an advantage. 2) The fingerprint scanner is very good, better than in the Iphone 6 3) The screen is very good. I liked the color rendition 4) Sense. Still the best shell on Android 5) The sound is very good, although they say that it was better in the M8 and M7.

    1) Excellent performance of 4G networks (in my case, LTE works stably in the coverage area of the Megafon operator in St. Petersburg); 2) Highly sensitive Wi-Fi reception sensor (I live on the 2nd floor, and Wi-Fi already works in the car in the parking lot at the entrance); 3) Fast operation of all applications on hardware, + a gorgeous camera with photo and video resolution; 4) Opportunity in Russia to purchase an official product from HTC under the RosTest logo, now Rst

    1. Poor battery capacity.
    2. One of the Russian LTE band 20 bands is not supported.
    3. There is no wireless charging option.
    4. The device is clearly overpriced, given that it is not positioned as a flagship device.
    5. Due to the low popularity of this phone, the choice of accessories for it is not as wide as for flagships.

It gets hot during active work.
    - No new features in Sence
    - Not enough built-in memory.

There's a problem with the battery. I lay in my pocket for 8 hours without using it, when I took it out it was discharged by %50. Big problem with 4g, I’ve never caught it, only N. Does anyone get 4g????? Previously, I had an HTC m8, 100% always caught 4g. Togliatti Sam. Region

A bit heavy. The body, although very pleasant to the touch, is slippery. Auto brightness is too bright in the dark.

battery (dies very quickly), gets very hot during active use, mobile Internet does not work well, charger is not suitable for RF sockets

    2 years ago 0

I’m a little dissatisfied with the battery so far (I think new patches will fix this problem)
-For some, the price may be a disadvantage

    1) The capacity of the standard battery is enough for half a day of simple applications that do not require energy-intensive tasks. Treated with a compact universal external battery with USB output
    2) There is no sound signal when the phone is fully charged. You have to constantly come up and check if it is charged!
    3) An absolutely incompetent combination of a smartphone with a 5.2" diagonal with the ability to use it under AutoNavigator. Using my example: living in St. Petersburg and every working day driving from Dachny Prospekt to the Ring Road with a complex interchange, the sensor constantly loses its location, because it does not understands what kind of junction I ran into. I noticed that this jamb can be avoided if this is done while driving at a lower speed. Further, being in any road “pocket”, the GPS sensor continues to lie that I am on the main road.

    1) Battery, battery, battery
    2) officials only sell the silver version.
    3) Probably the cost of the RST version

Battery life (the battery apparently has not yet swung)
A black wide frame around the screen with the inscription htc, stealing a lot of space especially at the bottom (it’s a pity for the wasted space!)
The limit on the number of “desktops” in Sens is a maximum of 6. I would like more movement in a loop, rather than running back and forth.
Few built-in widgets (poor calendar, no application manager, flashlight, etc.). Solved by installing third-party applications.
    Non-removable battery.

A flagship smartphone from a well-known manufacturer, with a metal body and a recognizable design.

The built-in speakers are capable of creating surround sound using BoomSound technology, developed in collaboration with the Dolby laboratory. When you connect headphones, the sound quality remains just as great.

The device has a built-in fingerprint scanner, which allows you not only to quickly unlock the device, but also to protect it.

Display HTC One M9 Plus 32GB LTE Gold On Silver has a size of 5.2 inches with a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels and a pixel density per inch of 565 ppi. Powerful performance is provided by the eight-core MediaTek helio X10 processor with a frequency of 2.2 GHz. The amount of RAM is 3 GB. The 32 GB built-in memory can be easily expanded using MicroSD memory cards up to 128 GB, which is useful for those who want to store a large amount of videos, photos, music and other data on their device.

For communication capabilities HTC One M9 Plus 32GB LTE Gold On Silver Built-in Wi-Fi modules (a/b/g/n/ac) with support for DLNA, Bluetooth, NFC, GPS and GLONASS are responsible. There is also an infrared port that allows you to control home audio and video equipment using the HTC Connect application. And support for 4G LTE technology provides access to high-speed mobile Internet.

The front camera of the device with a resolution of 4 megapixels with UltraPixel technology, a wide-angle lens and the ability to record video in Full HD format will delight selfie lovers. The main camera, the lens of which is protected by sapphire glass, has a resolution of 20 megapixels, is equipped with autofocus, a two-color LED flash and can shoot video in 4K Ultra HD format.

The smartphone runs Android 5.0 Lollipop OS with the proprietary Sense interface. The built-in 2840 mAh battery will provide up to 23 hours of talk time and up to 598 hours of standby time.

We won't "walk" far. The main difference is that the plus model has a fingerprint scanner. It is located in place of the Home button. The button divides one of the front speakers into 2 and it turns out that HTC has three front speakers. This didn't affect the sound at all. The sound is beautiful and it makes me happy.

In addition to the smartphone, the kit includes headphones, a microUSB cable and a charger. In general, nothing new, standard kit. There is a smartphone in several colors, I like the gold color, it looks very rich.

The smartphone, as usual, is made of metal. To be honest, I'm tired of it. For how many years in a row nothing changes from model to model. Nevertheless, the smartphone has its own identity and is interesting to a certain circle of users. Although it would not hurt HTC to reduce the bezels in its flagships. Although the device itself is absolutely non-slip, which was surprising since it is metal.

Shell

Nothing has changed in the shell, well, actually, what should have changed? Before us is the same m9, the flagship, but slightly improved in hardware. Software everything remained in its place. The shell is good, familiar to many. On the desktop you will find a certain feature that distinguishes the smartphone from others. You can assign a set of shortcuts that will be shown to you depending on the situation or scenario. This is all set up in advance. The "trick" is convenient. More interesting is the setup of the fingerprint scanner. You can add up to 5 fingerprints, plus protect your smartphone with a pattern.

The gesture control system is well developed, but it’s better to disable it (at least disable some gestures), since the gestures in it are simple, and if you don’t have a case, then you can simply activate one of these “simple” gestures by taking your smartphone out of your pocket .

Specifications

  • CPU

    MediaTek MT6795T 8 x 2.2 GHz, 64-bit.

  • Video processor

This is where everything is very interesting, friends. The m9+ abandoned the “hot” processor from Qualcomm, which made the m9 very hot. The choice was made in favor of MediaTek. This choice was not made in vain, because the smartphone did not lose any performance compared to the m9, the previous flagship model, but it began to heat up noticeably less.

Memory

The memory capacity has not changed. The same 32 GB of internal memory, the same 3 GB of RAM. We observed the same picture in m9. They also did not refuse a microSD card (up to 128 GB).

Connection

Everything is fine with the connection. After all, we have the flagship in our hands, there are no problems with such “little things” that should work perfectly in flagships. There is support for LTE networks and GPS. Everything is there, in a word. There's even an infrared port, great!

Look
updated as new information becomes available and published after careful review

Hello my dear readers. We continue to introduce you to the flagships of 2015. Today we’ll introduce you to the flagship from HTC. Surprisingly, as of June 2015, it is relatively inexpensive, considering that HTC has always stood out in the market by slightly overpricing its smartphones. Our model can be found in stores for only 33,000 rubles. For comparison Sony Z3+ and Samsung s6 Edge sold for 47,000 rubles. The difference, as they say, is obvious. Well, okay, enough talking about prices, let's talk about the smartphone itself.

I would like to start with the screen. In terms of characteristics and numbers, it is certainly not top-end. Its resolution is not 4k, but Full HD, but you know, there is no big difference with top-end displays. The screen is good quality, very high quality. Made using Super LCD 3 (IPS) technology, and its diagonal is 5 inches. With this diagonal, the result is 441 pixels per inch, which is very good. The screen is covered with protective glass Gorilla Glass 4, and can be operated with gloves. In general, I liked the display.
HTC One M9: smartphone review

The latest version of Android 5 is installed on HTC One M9.

When turned on for the first time, the smartphone even received a small update. There is no doubt that he will continue to receive them, because there is no limit to perfection. But for many, HTC products are perfection. What will the new generation shell of Sence 7 please us with?

Firstly, it is widely developed gesture control. For example, your smartphone will be unlocked if you swipe your finger across the screen from bottom to top, or double tap. There is a gesture responsible for instantly turning on the camera. See how it all works in our video review, the link to it will be at the bottom of the article.

Secondly, sets of shortcuts have appeared, that is, depending on the situation, the shortcuts that you will need at home, or at work, etc. are displayed on the desktop.

It is possible to select a set of icons and change the color scheme. In short, the shell opens up enormous opportunities for personalization and, as a rule, you don’t want to leave it for another.

The smartphone works with one SIM card in nano format. All data networks that exist today are supported, plus there is a radio receiver and GPS and GLONASS navigation modules.

The smartphone looks very stylish. There is no big difference with its predecessors; the company did not want to leave the corporate design, for which, it seems, its director was fired. Well, let's see how this will affect the design of future models. In short, the One M9 is a typical HTC smartphone. At the top is an IR port that turns your smartphone into a TV remote control; on the right is a scattering of buttons (2 volume buttons and a power button) and a SIM card tray. On the other side is a memory card tray. At the bottom there is a connector for headphones and for a PC (charging). The sound in the headphones is very powerful and clear, but a little “digital”, of course you can’t call it bad, I’m even sure that many will like it. The weight of the smartphone is 157 grams, which makes it a weighty device in every sense. The body is made of metal, so it is slippery. But everything looks very beautiful.

The kit includes a clip for the SIM card tray, fairly good headphones, and a charging cable.

This beauty is powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor, 64 bit, 4 cores x 2.0 GHz + 4 cores x 1.5 GHz. Adreno 430 graphics module and as much as 3 GB of RAM. What can I say, of course, all this abundance and number of cores is often just a marketing ploy. Therefore, it always makes sense to check the device in action. Therefore, look at the results of the performance tests:

Bonsai Benchmark 59 fps, Antutu 47000 points.

What can I say, decent performance! The power reserve will be enough for more than one year, however, due to the fact that the case is metal, and metal has a fairly high thermal conductivity (hello physics lovers), the HTC One M9 heats up noticeably under load. Even stronger than the flagship from Samsung, which we really criticized for this matter. What can you do, you have to come to terms with it. The smartphone does not burn your hands, but it does heat up.

The smartphone has 32 GB of memory, but as many as 11 of them are occupied by the system and the proprietary shell. Whether 21 GB is enough for you or not, we don’t know, but if there are those who don’t have enough, then this news will make you happy, the smartphone will support microSD cards up to 2 TB! However, there are no such things in nature yet, so it’s hard to say how HTC engineers checked this. However, the fact remains.

We have reached the most interesting point - autonomy. The battery here is non-removable - 2840 mAh. This is relatively little, but when playing video at maximum brightness it gives you a full 6 hours and 20 minutes. With normal use there is nothing new, the smartphone is enough for a day. The problem of autonomy has not yet been resolved, we are waiting for new flagships. When will the day come when an A-brand announces a standby time of up to two months and thereby disrupts the market? In the meantime, there are only energy saving modes that make life a little easier. There are two of them, normal and maximum energy saving.

Now let's talk about cameras. There are two of them here, not three like last year, and that’s right. The front one is 4 Ultra pixels, and the rear one is 20 MP. Again marketing. The picture quality is not bad, but a little worse than that of competitors and not much different from last year's flagship One m8. I said it boldly, right? Look at examples of photographs and draw your own conclusions. The device is capable of recording popular videos in 3840*2160 format. The camera is very smart and has a huge number of settings. There is now support for pictures in RAW format, which is good, because thanks to this, you can pull out and improve an almost “dead” picture on your computer.

So, selfie on HTC One M9:

Click on the photo, it will open in full size!!! Loaded in natural size.

Let's compare with other Android flagships!

Samsung Galaxy s6.

Both smartphones, according to known information, will be sold only in China; there is no data on the appearance of these models outside the Chinese market. Nevertheless, the devices are interesting, and I decided you would be curious to see which flagship from HTC Chinese users will receive.

This time I will not re-describe all the features of the device; after all, in many ways the new M9 Plus is a new version of the flagship M9, but with some improvements. So I propose to go through the main points.

From a design point of view, the changes are minimal - a hardware key has appeared under the screen, which is also a fingerprint scanner. To my taste, the solution chosen by the company looks rather clumsy. When I saw renders of the M9 Plus online, even before the announcement, with just such a scanner button, I believed that this was just a sketch or the work of some fan, but not the final design. Unfortunately, I was wrong, and in the end the scanner in the M9 Plus is designed exactly like this. On the other hand, if you close your eyes to the implementation from a design point of view, now HTC also has a fingerprint scanner.

In terms of dimensions, the new model is slightly larger than the regular M9, this is due to a slight increase in the screen diagonal - from 5" to 5.2".

The body colors remain similar to the M9, as far as I can tell from the presentation images. There will be three options - an all-gold M9 Plus, a dark gray one, and a combination of a gray back and gold frames (as in the photo in my HTC One M9 review).

The design of the main camera has changed slightly - the frame has become round (in the M9 it is square), in addition, an additional 2.1-megapixel camera has been returned to the M9 Plus. That is, the company in the new model offers a certain “mix” of solutions from M8 (Duo Camera) and M9 (20 MP main camera module). Most likely, there is a simple desire to present a device with “full stuffing” for one of the key markets, so all the developments are applied at once.

The screen, in addition to increasing the diagonal, has a high resolution - 2560x1440 pixels, there is no additional information about the matrix, so for now we can assume that the M9 Plus uses the same SuperLCD3 screen as the M9. The main question is how it will turn out in terms of settings: like in the M8 (brighter and with richer colors) or like in the M9 (less bright and with a calm color scheme)?

But the most interesting change in the M9 Plus compared to the regular M9 lies not in the new screen resolution, increased diagonal, scanner or two cameras instead of one. The fact is that the M9 Plus uses a new platform from Mediatek – Helio X10. The Helio chipset line is new for MTK, but it will also include already announced solutions. Helio X10, for example, is a chipset introduced in the summer of 2014

MTK MT6795 is a 64-bit platform with a full-fledged eight-core processor with a frequency of up to 2.2 GHz, support for screens with resolutions up to 2k and LTE Cat 4 (150Mbps/50Mbps). The HTC One M9 Plus uses an overclocked version of the chipset – MTK MT6795T (Turbo) with a frequency of just 2.2 GHz. Graphics – PowerVR G6200. This solution has proven itself well in Meizu MX4, although it is not the top of the PowerVR GPU line, its performance today is more than enough to run all games on the device. So in terms of “toys”, the HTC One M9 Plus should have no problems.

The Mediatek chipset supports 4k video recording and playback, accelerated recording at 480 fps at 1080p resolution, as well as all common wireless charging standards - Qi, PMA, Rezence. Which of this is implemented (and whether it is implemented?) in the HTC One M9 Plus is not yet clear.

The second smartphone presented at the presentation, HTC One E9 Plus, is also interesting. In terms of characteristics, this is something between the HTC One M9 and the HTC One M9 Plus. 5.5" diagonal screen with a resolution of 2560x1440 pixels, 20 MP main camera, 4 MP front camera with proprietary HTC UltraPixel technology, Mediatek MT6795M chipset (eight cores, 2 GHz), 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal flash memory, and also a slot for microSD, support for two SIM cards, 2800 mAh battery.

Unlike the HTC One M9 Plus and the simple M9, the new E9 Plus only has an aluminum frame, while the back and elements around the screen are made of plastic. In this case, the back can be made of matte plastic, such as was used for the HTC Desire EYE, or glossy, depending on the color of the smartphone. White – glossy, gray and golden – matte plastic.

Conclusion

The company did not provide information about the prices and timing of the start of sales of new smartphones at the presentation, but it is known for sure that both devices were initially prepared for the Chinese market and, unfortunately, HTC does not plan to launch them on international markets. Meanwhile, HTC One M9 Plus, in my opinion, turned out to be a very interesting product. Yes, the implementation of the fingerprint scanner is somewhat puzzling from the point of view of the final design of the device with this “button,” but otherwise this is a top-end device. Another question is how much a smartphone with a 5.2" screen needs such a high resolution and how the new platform from Mediatek will perform.
